Fabulous book! A great read for both skiers and non-skiers,

My husband and I picked up this book while at a cocktail party, started looking at the wonderful pictures, and quickly became engrossed in the captivating text. An hour later, we had to drag ourselves away. I must admit that I am not a real skiing enthusiast, but found the anecdotes in this book fascinating. Not only are some of the skiing stories hair-raising, but the stories of Dick and Miggs Durrance's lives are full of romance and vitality. What an inspiration they both are. This book makes you want to go out and embrace the world and all of it's challenges! My husband and I heartily recommend this book to anyone.

Quite nostalgic for a German reader who grew up admiring both of them
