First bought this book almost 40 years ago, when I first became a vegetarian. I've always loved Dick Gregory, and this tome is a quick & fun read, packed with good advice, and great to give to anyone contemplating a more healthful change in their life! Not much else to say, except I highly recommend it....

Of all of his books, this one should constantly remain in print. This book talks about fasting and the raw food diet well before it became the popular thing it is today.

This book is an absolute must read and keep. I first picked it up 36 years ago while taking a Washington Saturday College Class in Nutrition at George Washington University. It, along with my 93 years old Instructor (also a retired Dentist), quickly turned my life around. It is filled with the most eye-opening and factual information along with Dick Gregory's natural wit. If you're considering taking responsibility for your health this book will place you on the right track. It is down to earth, guaranteed to hold your interest and then some. I am now 57 years old and even though the book is nearly falling apart I wouldn't trade, sell or give it away, ever. It is out of storage now and I can't wait to read it again.
