Dick Sing's book on how to make miniature bird houses is a great learning resource. It does focus on bird houses but it also teaches the person how to make and use small jigs so you can turn the piece around and finish the bottom. It's step by step method is easy to follow. For the money you will find yourself in the workshop spending hour after hour making these. It's fun.

Great book, i had seen one of friends demonstrate turning a bird house at our local chapter in Dublin and was fascinated at how detailed and delicate these bird house's could be. My first attempts at turning birdhouse's could have been used as hurricane shelters for penguins they were so Strong ( thats my interpetation!). My pals wernt so polite but having read Dick Sing's book and changed my pals things are definitely looking better. Well worth the few dollars for the pictures alone as they are superb for the detail work.

Very well written guide to creating miniature birdhouses. All steps are easy to follow and well illustrated. A pleasure to read with many helpfull hints along the way!
