5.0 out of 5 stars You'll never watch TV the same again
Richard Cheese & Company cover TV theme songs. This CD rocks for such a lounge band. Although he does forgot the words to "Three Company" : ) Probably too many martinis. Highly recommended

2.0 out of 5 stars REALLY REALLY SHORT!!!
I've got all of Richard Cheese's Cd's. I like what he does and will continue to support his future releases. This album is only 20 mins and 56 seconds long. The idea to do TV themes is pretty funny, but there is only 13 tracks on this cd and with theme songs not very long to begin with I wish he would have done more for this cd. I bought my copy at Best Buy for $12.00...

Richard Cheese brings his unique brand of demented humor to television music in this odd concept album that doesn't really work. I'm a big RC fan (both for the humor and the actual musical value of his songs) but "Dick at Nite" fails on both fronts: It's really not very funny, and there isn't much there musically, either.

This is not entirely his fault. The material here was never meant to stand alone. However, I'm still sad he didn't try to do more with it; the theme from "SpongeBob" in particular feels as though it might have yielded something entertaining if some more work had been put into it. Points for the Clorox Bleach hidden track, though.

No disrespect to the Machine, but all in all this just wasn't meant to be. Recommended only for Richard Cheese completists and people who love television as much, or more than, life itself.

Richard Cheese's "gimmick" is doing cheesy lounge singer versions of songs that you wouldn't expect to hear done in that style. On this CD, he does his thing to TV theme songs. This is really amusing if you are a fan of TV theme songs, like me. Although "The Imperial March" from Star Wars isn't really a TV theme song. Track number 11 is an unlisted commercial jingle, but I won't spoil the surprise by revealing what product it is. If you really want to know, I will reveal what it is in the comments to this review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dick covers the TV hits, January 7, 2008

I have been a avid listener to Richard Cheese over the years as I enjoy Crooners such as Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack. While these songs do not exactly fill that roll it is a nice take on some of the classics of our time.

In this CD, Richard covers some of TV's most popular themes. You will find yourself in bliss singing along with old favorites and probably new favorites that you are unaware were even out.

All in all you will be hard pressed to find someone singing lounge music and doing it to cover songs better than Richard Cheese. This CD is pure musical enjoyment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious, July 12, 2008

Richard Cheese is CHEESY! Delightfully cheesy. He's the guy that if you heard him in a Vegas lounge you'd be snickering at the dork on the stage. The difference is Cheese is doing it intentionally.

As a fan of classic TV themes, Dick at Nite puts a new spin on the songs just begging to be sung by the big Cheese! The Brady Bunch theme finally sounds the way it SHOULD sound.

This album is sure to get you giggling, particularly the "line" from Three's Company theme.

Have fun!
