This book is a savior for my sanity,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities (Cliffs Notes) (Paperback)
I didn't buy the hard copy of this book; I downloaded it from the website. However, I will refer to this work as a book. First, let me say that this book is not intended as a replacement, but rather as a supplement to A Tale of Two Cities. If A Tale of Two Cities is assigned to you, this book will not get you out of reading and doing your real work. The point I would like to make, however, is that this book will keep you sane while you are reading the real thing. The Cliff's Notes series is designed to inform readers of points that they may have missed, whether it be the plot, the literary elements, or the background of the author and the setting. This book gave me a massive amount of insight into A Tale of Two Cities. I would highly recommend it. I referred to it often while reading the book as well as while writing my report at the end. In closing, this is a great work, a great study guide, but a very poor replacement for the real thing.

Hard to Get Through..but takes an interesting turn,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities (Cliffs Notes) (Paperback)
I'm a freshman in high school, and our book project is to read a Tale of Two Cities. I can't say that it was a piece of cake. It took me about a week and a few days to get through the first book. All I kept thinking over and over was "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..." and it started to make me crazy. I finally got up to a little past book two, and it became interesting. I don't recommend this book to people with a limited amount of time to read it in, because it won't happen. For those of you that have the time, it's a great book.
