4.0 out of 5 stars Great sounds minus one
I liked the movie far more than I thought that I would. Part of the reason was the great music. A plus was getting to hear "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger. But a big minus on this CD is the omission of Dickie's signature song - Christopher Cross' "Ride Like the Wind". That song is played three times and plays an important role in Dickie's life - most notably when he...

3.0 out of 5 stars Dickie Robert's is guilty. Chris Cross isn't on the CD. Book him.
If there's one thing I can't stand more it's when the signature song of a movie is left out of the soundtrack. This happens way too often. Why? I suspect it has something to do with big business. The Man is always ruining things for US. Thanks to the movie, though, for reminding me of this great classic song. Would've been a classic soundtrack too. Oh well...

4.0 out of 5 stars Great sounds minus one, July 21, 2005

This review is from: Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (Audio CD)
I liked the movie far more than I thought that I would. Part of the reason was the great music. A plus was getting to hear "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger. But a big minus on this CD is the omission of Dickie's signature song - Christopher Cross' "Ride Like the Wind". That song is played three times and plays an important role in Dickie's life - most notably when he uses it to help Sally get a spot on the pep squad. Other than that, this has alot of great songs and I adore "Child Stars" which is a great "We are the World" parody.

If you liked the movie, this CD is worth picking up.

4.0 out of 5 stars Response to J. Brett, April 14, 2005
This review is from: Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (Audio CD)
J. Brett:
it's missing a good song from the movie and I need to know where I'd be able to find it. It's the song that Webster comes out to in the celebrity boxing match. Somebody let me know what it's called!

It's called Ante Up (Robbin Hoodz Theory). It's on the You Got Served Soundtrack.

ok, the movie was great and so is the soundtrack but there's i song i don't think is on there. it's the spanish one that plays right after dickie discusses the publishing of his autobiography with who i think are probably lawyers. they only play a little bit of it and right after it's done there's a scene with dickie checking his answering machine. can any one help me?

4.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff, April 10, 2005

The spanish song is "Son Suenos" by David Barragan. At least that's the only spanish song I could find listed in the credits.

I like the movie, and I like the soundtrack. "Child Stars" is a wonderfully funny song, and worth the price of the disc by itself.

Like that other kid said before, I'd like to know what that Spanish song is - I was looking forward to that being one there. If anyone could help me out, I'd love it. The songs awesome!

Great soundtrack but why feature such great tracks in the movie and then not put them on the CD. A Music Fan the track you're looking for (which isn't on the CD) is 'Flagpole Sitta' by Harvey Danger.
