I wore these pants in -5 degree weather with lightweight thermals underneath and was warm the whole time. The waist is a little snug, but comfortable.

Buy these 1 size larger than you normally take

In 30F weather no need for thermal underware, I expect 20f to be the same

Get these for shoveling snow, working on the property, football games

PS I've been spraying all of my outdoor work clothes with outdoor scotch guard , including my hats , jacket and pants

I had ordered these pants for my son and was very happy with the quality,but unfortunately they were too tight in the thigh area. If you have muscular thighs, these pants might be too snug. The shipping was very efficient and the return was also.

I'm a deer hunter and bought these pants for that pursuit. They've been great this season and it's been pretty rainy and muddy out in the field. The pants have been superb in keeping me warm and dry as well as protected when I walk through the thick brush. I highly recommend these pants.

Theses pants were everything I was hoping for. The flannel lining was thick and soft. I live in the northern US and these are going to be perfect for shoveling sidewalk snow from my triple wide lot and driveway when the snows and cold air hit. I bought one waist size wider than normal to allow for a bulky flannel shirt to be tucked in, that too worked out perfect !!!

They feel great, they look great and they're rugged so I am sure I'll get a lot of use out of them...
