The size and comfort of this bag made it an instant favorite for me, but I was disappointed to find that the lining soon began to crack and peel off. Whatever it is, now anything that goes into my bag comes out with black plastic bits all over it. Hope they start using new material, instead of this plastic coated canvas junk.

i'm on my 3rd of these bags -- they tend to last for about 2-3 years, and then the plastic lining starts to crackle and crumble off, and so the structure goes with it.

a great price for a classic look. durable and just the right size for a work or school bag. also, very lightweight, but sturdy.

I've had this bag for about 8 years. Unlike another reviewer, the inner waterproof lining is still in great condition. The only thing worn out on my bag is the huge patch of velcro on the inside of the flap. I'd rather they left off the velcro and used two clasps insead. That and the pocket in the flap needs a couple compartments for keys and other junk. All my stuff pretty much rattles around in the outside pocket. That's why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Otherwise this is a great bag, and the material wears like iron.

This bag has proven it's worth over and over again. Durable, with alot of pocket space. My last bag had half the room for twice the cost!

This bag is Great! I bought this bag for my nephew over a year ago and he loves it. The bag looks nearly in the same condition as it was when it arrived. The Black is still vivid and dark and it seems to fit all his school books well. He's in his sophmore year at high school. Looks like it will easily last till graduation!
