I've had a couple of pairs of these in different colors now, and they are among my favorite slacks. Like all dickies when you get them they are very stiff, almost like lightweight cardboard, but once they break in they are very comfy. The scotchguard treatment works pretty well, and they are resistant to most stains that would indelibly mark untreated cotton.
These are straight cut, flat fronts, so they have a pretty snug fit. If you need more room or want a baggier look, get them larger, or get another cut.

Durable and look great on my husband! I like the flat front and the fact that they are wrinkle free. They hold up very well after numerous washings. Great value and quality.

I like these type of pants, but I had to return the pair I ordered because they didn't fit right. They were too tight, which I don't understand since I regularly wear a size smaller than the ones I ordered. I assume that it had to do with the sub-category of "fit" - classic, relaxed or loose, but I haven't found any options to choose which "fit" I want and I saw nothing about it in the description.

Overall, I like the pants. I like the metal clasp instead of a button. The cell/mutli-use pocket is great, but finding the right "fit" online is too much of a chore and unfortunately they still charge you to return them.

These pants are a blend of 60% Polyester and 40% Cotton, which means that the material is more like a hard sheet that will eventually soften out, but slowly. The Fit is a snug one as many have pointed out below.

Great for those whose body shape is sleek and uniform i.e read as those without belly and hip fat. The reason being that these pants are not for those seeking a relaxed fit around the waist, cause the design is flat front.

The material is rugged and washing doesn't shrink the material.
Please note that there are no elastic waist bands to accommodate waist increases!
This means that, When you buy, do buy a size 2" above your normal waist size so that you can get a relaxed fit and can also sit comfortably without being stretched! Also note that the +ve is that there are no buttons in the waist, but rather a rigid Steel Metal Hook.

I welcome this as I am tired of those buttons popping out, and this return to old fashion is getting back to basics.
Recommend it to those who are looking for a simple, no-nonsense, rugged pant for everyday work/wear in the outdoors/factory/work.

I am highly impressed with Dickies as a brand and will buy their stuff in the future as well.
Very practical and nice! minus all the over the moon advertising that has no relation to the actual product!
Go for it, but with 2" above the normal size that you wear.

When you want comfort, good looks, and good wear Dickies will bring it. One suggestion - wash them before wearing for the first time - much softer after one wash. No wrinkles when you get them out of the dryer quick. As to size - Dickies is not generous in providing extra room in the waist - order your true size (no elastic stretch here). I wear them to work in a business casual environment - now most people would not do that but I look like some one who would so I can get away with it, if you are looking to rebel a little then you can too. Dickies are a great replacement for jeans when actually doing physical work our outdoor activities as they will dry faster than jeans if you get caught in the rain. I also use as a replacement for jeans when on my scoot. Four stars for wear, quality, fit and value.

Although I have had Dickies in the past, the quality of the sewing around the zipper was bad. After only wearing these to work for the second time, I noticed the stitching was coming apart where the zipper cover was. It looked as if my zipper was open at the top. The pants were not small, as a matter of fact I thought a 36" waist would have been more appropriate after I tried on the 38", but decided to keep the 38 in case of shrinkage. Anyway, I ended up stitching the seam myself, and now all is well, the comfort and easy care of the work pants are fine.

As a simple good looking work pants, these do the job. They fit well and are very resistant to liquids and wear. However, they are made from something that feels like sack cloth. Not the most comfortable material but sturdy and once broken in, they work very well.

After only three months wear and washing only in cold water, the waist bands on these trousers constantly flop over my belt. I will have to replace them. Fabric is good at resisting stains, very strong. But waist band needs better reinforcement.

If you have a job that requires you to business casual but involves working in a dirty or harsh environments, I highly recommend these pants. Although they do indeed "feel like cardboard" when you first get them, they break in a bit after several wash and wear cycles. Even though they never become quite "soft" or what some might even consider "comfortable" they are quite wearable for what they do.

This pant is a workhorse. You can beat the crap out of them and they won't fall apart on you. Do take care to note that they will shrink a bit if you wash them in hot water or dry them on a hot setting.

Yay:

- EXTREMELY Tough Pant
- Excellent Color-Fastness
- Solid Price
- Dickies Logo Easily Removable

Nay:

- "Feels Like Cardboard" When New
- Harsh Texture
- Pants May Shrink Slightly

I've been using these pants for a few years now. As I get more of them, the quality seems to be pretty identical. When I first get them I have to wash them a couple times because the scotch guard makes them pretty rigid and rough. They are always about an inch smaller in the waist than most other pants I wear. Length seems pretty accurate. After a few washes, with fabric softener, the pants are relatively comfortable. After about 2 years, the crotch of the pants (where the fabric rubs when i wear them) tend to start balling up and disintegrating. I like the pocket by the right knee, good spot to put things that I need in a pinch. The price point of these pants is pretty nice considering how much work pants can cost.
