I wore these pants in -5 degree weather with lightweight thermals underneath and was warm the whole time. The waist is a little snug, but comfortable.

Buy these 1 size larger than you normally take

In 30F weather no need for thermal underware, I expect 20f to be the same

Get these for shoveling snow, working on the property, football games

PS I've been spraying all of my outdoor work clothes with outdoor scotch guard , including my hats , jacket and pants

I had ordered these pants for my son and was very happy with the quality,but unfortunately they were too tight in the thigh area. If you have muscular thighs, these pants might be too snug. The shipping was very efficient and the return was also.
