About sizing: take a tape measure and measure your waist, or hips, or wherever you wear your pants. Don't go with what size you wear in other brands of clothing. Dickies makes clothing for uniforms, so an HR representative can just take measurements and order accordingly. Other manufacturers often do what is called "vanity sizing," such that the jeans I bought from a major retailer say "38 X 30" or "40 X 30," but if I measure the waist of those jeans, they're actually 42 or 44. So when you're buying your Dickies pants, take an actual measurement first. This will lead to a much better fit.
As I said -- these are my new go-to pants. I can get wacky colors if I want something fun, or I can get very conservative colors if I want to fit in with squares. I wouldn't go so far as to say these pants are replacements for your khaki pants. They are not. Still, if you wore these with the right shirt and tie, you could pass off a working-class business casual of sorts.
Also, the "olive green" is really quite dark. Closer to grey-brown. A nice color, don't get me wrong, but not as close to Olive Drab as I had hoped.
TL;DR: Use your REAL measurements, and you'll get a great pair of pants.
I haven't had THESE a long time, but prior purchases of the same trousers have lasted a very long time.
i'm a big guy. 52x32
-they are good for a big guy.
-Enough room in the legs, a little too big around the ankle but i'm wearing boots anyway so they are good for boots.
-good room in the hips, a little snug but they work
- waist is a a little loose but ok. the clip would probably be better as a button.
-length. there not like jeans. they are a 32 inch from the inseam.
-belt loops, there are a bunch. if you're using these for physical work, you'll like.
-they wash well, keep their color (so far), they don't become crazy soft after a bunch of washes but the material is just a little softer.
-the marterial is very tough. but comfortable to wear
-pocket in pant leg, it'll fit a samsung note ii, barely sticks out but its in there. i'm lost with out the pocket when i wear jeans
i've taken in the waist a little, its better for me.
the length, well there shorter now. they don't drag on the ground anymore.
price, well its a good price.
** if you are used to wearing jeans and need these they don't measure out like jeans do.
- I tried the cargo pants, those fit more like jeans are measure that way.
- after reading this you can say they fit as expected.
Other than that, the paints are durable and the leg openings are wide. Fast shipping from the vendor.
