They're comfortable and the right side leg pocket is perfect for cell phones.
Great work pants they fit the way they should and the double layered knees lasted a long while.
He prefers jeans that aren't real stiff and he loves the pocket on the back of the leg to put his smart phone in.

These are real work jeans. They seem cut slightly larger then normal, which if fine for the working man. It means no binding or rising of the legs up over boot tops. I have 8 pair, and they seem to last about two years, and that is under hard use. They get softer with use. I will continue to purchase these specific jeans. So tough, they laugh at Levi's, Carhart, and Kirkland brand jeans!

I ordered these for my husband - in an effort to keep costs down on work jeans for him. He typically wears Carharrt Double Knee Sanded Duck but I just didn't want the expense as I was purchasing 5 pair. He is an electrician, operates a crane, welds - a whole gambit of tough dirt and grime and ways to get holes in everything he's wearing. If you are looking for a good, solid workpant without a huge investment, the Dickies are a great route to go. They fit perfectly according to size, they may not be quite as "stiff" as Carharrts but they are a great 2nd option. I bought 5 pair for just over $100 - the cost of 2 pairs of Carharrts.

I recently retired from my desk job, and have started volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. I needed a heftier pair of jeans for working construction of these new houses. These jeans fit the bill very nicely, with the double knee. Built to last.

Great work pants, comfortable right out of packaging. I wear these pants for everyday work wear (construction/handyman services) and when I'm up gathering firewood for the year (8-12 cord per season). I have owned many pairs of Carhartt jeans and have been pleased with them but I feel that the fit and quality of materials lack, compared to these Dickies.

Rugged work pants that have a great casual look. Yes the fabric is stiff that's why they are "work pants" I wouldn't want to wear silk jeans for cutting firewood or welding. So those that say for aren't comfortable don't forget what you're buying. These are extremely great value.

The two more pair purchased recently are replacements. They do wear out but it takes a while. I am really frugal with work jeans, one pair being retired for these new ones has 11 repairs and patches including a couple arguments with barbed wire where the pants lost, but my body was unscathed. I haven't decided on a formal retirement to the trash can or not. I am guessing those are 10-12 years old a survived building our house. They have faded, but I had added multiple colors of paint, tar, grease, oil and few other chemicals to build their image. My wife view them as inappropriate for even a trip to Home Depot or Lowes, but I don't.

I ordered a pair of these sanded duck double-knee pants about a month ago. Due to the thickness of them, I loved them for wearing on my motorcycle. They are much tougher and safer than wearing jeans. I liked them so much, a month or so later I went to Amazon and ordered 2 more pairs from the same seller. When I recieved them I noticed that they were much thinner than the first pair I ordered. Same seller, same pants, same exact item number. But...they aren't the same pants!
I'm not blaming the seller, I blame Dickies. Read through the reviews and you'll see some people say they are too stiff, while others complain the material is too thin and cheaply made for 'work wear'. One review said these are better quality than the ones you find at WalMart. So Dickies quality control (or call it consistancy of their products) is absolutely horrible. They obviously manufacture two levels of quality. But without seeing them in person, you'll never really know what you're going to get until you recieve it. You might get the thick ones, you might get the cheaply made thin ones. It's a real gamble and I'm never buying Dickies ever again. I'll go with Carhartt. Those are the same no matter where you buy them.
Dickies is a company I trusted, since they've been around so long, but I am no longer am a customer of theirs.

For the longest time I used dickies twill double knee work pants, but they would always wear thin in the thigh area (after a couple years of use). I have recently started wearing these sanded duck double knee jean and I've been impressed, they are a comfortable fit and still stay close enough to the body to allow for a stylish more fitted look, while still allowing plenty of room for free movement (up ladders or through crawl spaces, etc.) and enough space at the ankle to go over your boots! The double knee goes way up the thigh and way down the shin, which I think will help eliminate premature wear in these areas! I've worn them in cold and warm conditions and they seem to provide a nice middle of the road weight to keep you warm enough in mildly cold conditions (around freezing) and seem as though they will be breathable enough to help minimize over heating in the summer months. I haven't had the issue with the pockets puffing out like some other customers have mentioned. The best part is at this price you can get two pairs of these for the price of one of the carhartt double front jeans. I would definitely recommend this product to other craftsmen, builders, contruction works, and maintenance workers, and outdoorsmen in general ! I plan to update this review when I wear these out in a few years!
