This book is a great referance book for students and people in the field of criminal justice. Not only can it help you acidemicaly but in real life situations. As a criminal justice student I use this book on a daily bases to complete a number of assinments not only for my teach Dr. Rush but other classes as well. I see myself in the future refering to this book often, to gain information about criminal justice related items. Once again I feel this is a great referance book.

I purchased this book to help me with all my assignments at University and have found it to be remarkably useful. Just today, (ironically) I found a section in the back that deals with cases insofar as their year, litigants, verdict, and over all results go. I have even gotten away with not purchasing books for two classes this semester and, instead, relying on this book. Today is my last day of finals and my GPA is a 3.6, so the gamble paid off.

On the short side, it's amazing what this book will not have within it. Some of the more complex but commonly used terms wont be included in this book. The only reason I can fathom is because this book was written mainly for professionals and not students, so the terms not listed would be more common knowledge to them and not necessary to include in the book.

I am a Criminal Justice major and I thought this book would be helpful. Honestly, I haven't opened it more than 3 times in the long while that I've owned it. I'm sure it is very helpful, but I guess I turn to the internet more than anything else. I still keep it handy on my book shelf with all other reference books and I'm sure it will be of good use one day. :)
