5.0 out of 5 stars The New Dictionary of farrier Terms and Technical Language, July 5, 2011
This review is from: The New Dictionary of Farrier Terms and Technical Language (Kindle Edition)
This is a must book, not only for every farrier, but for every horse owner also. Well written and covers all terms used in the art of horseshoeing. If everyone had one of these books communication would be a whole lot better between the farrier and the horse owner. Thanks David Millwater, you put out a fine book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stable staple farrier book., May 29, 2010
By
Essa Adams "Thayne Hudson" (Great Lakes Region, U.S.A.) - See all my reviews
While I do not own this book, I remember well that it was on th office shelf at Silhouette Stables. My daughter worked there and took riding lessons during high school, and I spent several hours in the office and lounge. I always have a book in hand and this was one I picked up just to learn something.

One of three, this is in its 9th printing. Written by Dave Millwater, a Registered Master Farrier and lifelong horseman experienced in horse care and farriery. His articles have been in Western Horseman, Equus, The Western Horse, The Paint Horse Journal, HorseWorld USA, ANVIL Magazine, plus equestrian periodicals.

Search Inside reveals a concise and professional farrier dictionary that all with equine interest could use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Written and Essential, December 13, 2009

This book should be on the shelf, if not atop the desk, of every equine
professional or enthusiast in the country. Hoof care is one of the most
essential aspects of horse health and maintenance, so it only stands to
reason that we all need to speak the language. But this farrier
dictionary goes beyond just defining different kinds of horseshoes and
lameness causes. It includes long articles on the intricacies of hoof
balance, and even detailed directions of how to forge a horseshoe by
hand. Scientific terms are explained clearly, and cross-referencing is
made easy. Not only are there handy illustrations all through the book,
but there are bonus, full-page illustrations and diagrams in the back.
