This "Barron's Guides" series of dictionaries is an indispensable and inexpensive toolkit of professional terms of art across many fields. While not infallible nor inexhaustibly complete they are convenient to use (as opposed to the heft of, let's say, Black's Law Dictionary: Deluxe Ninth Edition. And if you work with professional terms in medicine, real estate, finance, and the like but are not a specialist in those fields, these books will get you through a jungle of jargon intelligently and with confidence.

I am graduate finance student and I use this dictionary all the time. I know there are limitless financial dictionaries online, but I like the fact that this book is small and that the information does not change. The definitions are clear and to the point, I actually learn new terms when I look up definitions.

I got this book because I knew very little about finance and accounting and wanted it as a reference for when I read other finance and accounting texts, and it has come in very handy. The book is very conveniently sized and of good quality, and so far there hasn't been a term I needed that it did not contain.

This is a very good tool for walking through the land mine world of Investment Language. Yeah, you gotta know the lingo. Other books help on your journey toward investment, but you need to know the Greek of it to gain the prize, and this is a good little book for that purpose. I have a number of dictionaries for investments. But I say, the more you know, the more familatr you are with something, the better chance you have successfully navigating toward your goal. I recommend this book if you want to be an investor in the stock market.

This is a helpful book for someone just getting into, or someone who has been interested in learning more terms so that we can make the right decisions when investing our money.

The "Dictionary of Financial and investment Terms" is a well researched & planned publication. I find it to be useful when I encounter financial terms that I have not previously been aware of. I recommend the dictionary to anyone who needs access to todays financial definitions.

This is a great reference book if interested in the subject matter of common stock investing.

I ordered 15 copies of this dictionary to share with clients because I know from experience it is a very helpful desk guide. Unfortunately when I received the order, the book covers and bindings were faded and damaged. The book was cheap but I would have paid more for better condition.
