This review is from: A Dictionary of French Connectors (Hardcover)
This dictionary is an excellent reference to connectors that would be useful especially when writing in French as a second language. It gives a list of some English structures and their translations, with more than one translation for each word because meanings of words vary with different situations depending on the nuances. This is just a small section of the book. The rest of the book contains French connectors such as "de plus" which can also be replaced by "d'autre part" and "d'ailleurs." There are explanation of the grammatical structure and use of the words followed by examples in written French. The book explains where the connector is often placed in a sentence and also gives a list of variants with explanations. Punctuation is also explained where needed.
