5.0 out of 5 stars Great Tool for Educators and Parents
I wish I had found this book several years ago, when I was teaching a Confirmation class. It covers many of the questions from my students that used to stump me . 1.0 out of 5 stars Circular Logic is Circular
The logic in many of these arguments was nonexistant, and the few good/inspiring answers were overshadowed by ones that were downright disturbing (e.g. it's better for someone to be in an abusive relationship then to remove themselves from a dangerous marriage).

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Tool for Educators and Parents, November 10, 2006
This review is from: Did Adam and Eve Have Belly Buttons?: And 199 Other Questions from Catholic Teenagers (Paperback)
I wish I had found this book several years ago, when I was teaching a Confirmation class. It covers many of the questions from my students that used to stump me . Some of the questions seem so simple--until you try to answer them so a teenager or child can understand! This book does a great job of answering the tough questions clearly. And it backs those answers up with Biblical references to show how the answers were put together.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Answer for those "Hard-to-Answer" Questions!, September 19, 2010
This review is from: Did Adam and Eve Have Belly Buttons?: And 199 Other Questions from Catholic Teenagers (Paperback)
I'm a confirmation teacher and I really found this book quite helpful in answering those questions my High School students had about their faith. Since it's written in a "Question and Answer" format, you really don't have to read it in order; just skip over to the question you want answered and "Presto" there you have it! Not only did the students love it, but the parents also commented how easy it was to read and how much they learned from the book. Good job Matthew Pinto!

5.0 out of 5 stars ???? Answered, July 18, 2011
This review is from: Did Adam and Eve Have Belly Buttons?: And 199 Other Questions from Catholic Teenagers (Paperback)
I'm 14 and this book answered some questions that I couldn't answer for myself. It was really interesting to read the questions and answers teens asked. Some of the questions I didn't even think about, but was glad to know the answer. This book was good for a person who likes to ask different questions, especially about different subjects in the Catholic faith.

Not only a great resource for teens.... The format allows you to read questions and answers for younger children as well because you can skip those that are not age-appropriate. Easy to read and understand, and more information than expected regarding our faith. Great teaching aid! Highly recommend for Catholic families or anyone wanting to know more about the Catholic faith. I just purchased the follow-up book, Did Jesus Have a Last Name? And 199 Other Questions from Catholic Teenagers from the same author.

The questions are from adolecents but believe me, most of us stopped learning at that age so it benefits all ages, especially families. The answers are based on the Catholic faith. I highly recommend it.

This is an excellent, straight forward answer book for those difficult questions teens and adults pose when trying to "challenge" catholic beliefs. It would be a great book for churches to make available to their Youth Groups.

I loved this book in high school. I thought it was great tool for any Catholic young adult. If you like this book you would also like: Men for Life: Everything You Need to Know to Start a Men's Pro-Life Club.

5.0 out of 5 stars not just for teens, November 16, 2011

This review is from: Did Adam and Eve Have Belly Buttons?: And 199 Other Questions from Catholic Teenagers (Paperback)
Yes, the title says "questions from Catholic teenagers", but I've found that many (over 90%) of Catholic adults wonder the same things, but have always been too embarassed (or too apathetic) to ask before.

Many Catholic adults do not know they're faith and therefore are stumped by these quasi-advanced questions about Catholic beliefs and practices. This book (and the follow-up Did Jesus Have a Last Name? And 199 Other Questions from Catholic Teenagers) is perfect for those Catholics who are just starting to rediscover their faith - whether because of the Baptism or First Communion of their child, or whether because they are being challenged by a non-Catholic friend - as well as for non-Catholics seeking to understand better the Catholic point-of-view.

For Catholics who are intimidated by the Catechism of the Catholic Church or apologetics books like the Handbook of Christian Apologetics or even Mere Christianity, this book would be an excellent start for answering your questions (and those of your child or friend that prompted you to wonder the same).

Good book of questions about the faith. Organized in a very sensible order, starting with the existence of God and working into more details. Covers important hot button and important issues for today's teen with straight forward answers. Highly recommended.
