Man oh man! If _anyone_ in history can put the
"Can a white man sing the blues?" question to rest for good, it's this guy. (The answer is YES.)
Inspired original material, played by an ace band and sung by the greatest singer you,(may have), never heard of, (until now).

5.0 out of 5 stars Soulful blues from a local legend!, May 2, 2005

I've been watching Tad Robinson play for a few years now and must honestly say that this guy has one of the greatest blues voices I've ever heard. The man is flat-out dedicated to beautiful, well-thought music that packs a punch to the soul. "Did You Ever Wonder" is by far his best effort to date. If you ever get a chance to see Tad play live, DO IT!!! If you're in the Indy area, chances are you will get to see Tad's fun and energetic show topped off by local musicians Paul Holdman on guitar and Kevin Anker on keyboards. These guys will knock your socks off with their talent!!!

Downbeat 4 star rating
W.C. Handy Blues Awards Nomination for 2005 best Soul/Blues album of the year and best Soul/Blues male singer of the year.
I LOVE this album.
Course, I wrote half the songs so I'm kind of biased.
If you like soul blues, you can spend a long time with this one.

I have been a fan of the blues for a very long time, play some blues guitar and have an extensive blues cd collection, so I'm no stranger to the Blues.
I had heard Tad on one of Dave Spectre's cds and thought, hey this cat can really sing. Most blues singers just kind of wail and blow harp and as Albert King said "they don't concentrate on no soul" but this guy is all about soul. I honestly dont know why Tad Robinson isn't huge, a few decades ago, he would have been.

If you are a guitar player, this cd has some great guitar work plus a very tasteful mix of horns and organ work, not overdone. This is my first Tad Robinson cd but not the last, in fact,I'm gonna pick up another one right now.

4.0 out of 5 stars A web that ensnares the blues and '70s soul, February 9, 2011
This review is from: Did You Ever Wonder (Audio CD)
Tad Robinson and company spin a web that ensnares the blues and '70s soul---that Al Green with horns and bass and organ---and keeps enough essence from rock to flavor the final amalgam. The guitars shine here, too, funky and cool, floating above, through, and around all those horns---good stuff.

Mr. Robinson knows his way around a soul song, and if you have been secretly waiting for someone to come along, update, and improve Treat Her Like a Lady, and I know I have, then here you go. If that's not enough, cat covers Robert Ward's Your Love Is Amazing (how cool would it be to hear both of them on this one).

There is also a tasty batch of home-brewed tunes, and these originals hold there own with everything else in the set, blues, soul, or whatever you want to call it. If I still like this album this much come summer, I'll have to sneak back and notch up this review by another star.

I stumbled on Tad Robinson's music by chance while surfing the web. More specifically, I heard "Pockets full of nothing."
Intrigued I looked the guy up, hunted around and then decided to get this CD.
Great music. Hard to say anything different. It's the kind of music that's great to listen by yourself or with good company, as long as you want to listen rather than talk over it.
Now, I got this cd because of that single "pockets full of nothing," but I sure loved all of the other songs, something that doesn't happen very often!
Do yourself a favour, and get this cd.
