5.0 out of 5 stars This is the top scholar's analysis of The Didache, March 12, 2000
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Didache Hermeneia (Hermeneia: A Critical & Historical Commentary on the Bible) (Hardcover)
shalom@haydid.org When I started researching this topic, I went to the Anchor Bible Dictionary first. At the end of the "Didache" article was a bibliography of the top scholars and the title of other articles. I ordered the book from Amazon.com and started digging into a very scholarly analysis of the topic. This is an excellent way to learn to learn how to study this early church document. The book was an excellent resource that was an invaluable tool for understanding the Jewish background of this document. The Lord's Prayer is better explained by Dr. Brad Young in The Jewish Background of the Lord's Prayer and Jesus the Jewish Theologian than Mr. Niederwimmer's explanation. The book is worth well worth reading.
