I homeschool and these cubes are awesome for using for visual aids for math. It's helping them a lot in visualizing addition and subtraction.

5.0 out of 5 stars great math help for many age levels, July 10, 2010

We have lots of unifix cubes for our homeschool classroom. The regular ones, the letter ones, and several accessories and books. They are all great helps. It's very helpful to be able to show a math problem rather than explain it or draw it. The kids can hold the math problem in their hands and it helps so much.

As a "wanna-be" teacher myself, I fell in love with this product when I saw it and purchased it for my daughter for Christmas. (She has a degree in early childhood education) She was thrilled! Although she just graduated and does not yet have a teaching position, she can't wait to use manipulatives like this one. I wish I had owned such a product when I homeschooled our children.

I am a teacher and just ordered the 500 Count of Diadex Cubes. I was very happy when I opened the box. You really do get 500 cubes inside and they come in a sturdy box that you can store them in, which I really liked. I definatly feel that I got my monies worth.

* The back of the box says 100 cubes but there are 500 inside.
* They are made out of a lighter weight material than some, but they definatly are durable and easily snap together for little hands

4.0 out of 5 stars Unifix cubes for teaching high school chemistry, August 21, 2009
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Unifix Cubes (500 count) (Toy)
Unifix cubes are an affordable, safe, highly effective tool for teaching students the basics of modeling chemical reactions on the particle level. This is important, because many students do not easily grasp the connection between writing formulas and equations and the behavior of atoms in chemical reactions. Manipulating unifix cubes helps students model chemical behavior, and thus helps them both both to visualize chemical reactions and to understand the meaning of balancing equations.
