There is honestly no question about Whitney Houston's return to the spotlight. With her album I Look To You debuting at #1 on Billboard, and selling 300,000 copies the opening week, there is no doubt about it that she is back in harmony and soulfully. That has shown very well on the intimate songs on I Look To You, including I Didn't Know My Own Strength, which Whitney performed on The Oprah Winfrey show, that brought the house down. The song is a very simple and intimate ballad that Diane Warren brilliantly wrote for Whitney, reflecting signs of going through the blue period, and coming into the light. It is honestly the most personal song Diane had wrote for Whitney since You'll Never Stand Alone from My Love Is Your Love, that really strikes you deeply in the heart. It also was the 2nd song that got leaked out online way in advance before I Look To You was released. If you haven't downloaded the record, than I really suggest you download the song, and feel the soul of Whitney's strength.

Whitney is back! After having huge career in the 80's and some misfortunate set backs, this song a cd bring her back to who she really is and the person she can be.

When I first heard this song, Whitney was singing it on Oprah. I quickly went to Amazon to purchase and download this song. I truely love it and play all the time.
