I love this wrap and it's beautiful, vibrant colors.

About the wrapping and tying: my daughter was very cooperative through the very challenging process of learning the wrapping techniques.

I haven't washed it yet, but so far, it's a little more slippery than my flannel-y Girasol.

If I could only have one "baby product" it would be this. Seriously. It can be tied several different ways to fit your needs at the time. Front carries for snuggles or nursing, back carries so mom can get things done (my little one is on my back sleeping in a wrap as I type this), hip carries for quick in-and-outs (using a rebozo carry in a size 2 or 3). So much more comfortable and versatile than any other baby carrier I've used. Just know that it takes a lot of patience and practice to get the hang of using woven wraps, but once you get it, it's heaven!

I absolutely love this wrap. It is my first woven and I'm in love. It wraps really nicely and the colors are so beautiful. It's a little stiff right out of the box but with a few uses it's broken in. I highly recommend it!

I have tried 3 other Didymos wraps and did not care for them...2 were too thick for my taste and the other was not supportive enough. I am very happy with the 2 Didymos striped wraps that I currently have. I have the Katja and Iris. These are super soft from the beginning, supportive and beautiful. These have a great feel that will keep you reaching for them and they are easy to wrap with. They are thin enough to use in hot weather too.

So my buddy was on my case to get one of these wraps. He is a highly educated professor of education at a University so I thought I might listen to him.

In reality, I am kind of totally too lazy to do this wrapping up the baby thing with all of these wrapping and knot techniques, and I am even MORE afraid of doing something wrong and having my child fall out. This is why my wrap is mostly a vacay/recreational thing. Men seem to do really well with these wraps... I think it's because they are biologically speaking probably less paranoid about safety issues.

When I do have the time to make sure that I attach her properly and perfectly as described in the instructions, I am usually pleased. And babes is in heaven so close to Momma, seeing all the world from my perspective. Heaven knows why, but most children want to be like their parents, and this definitely assists them!

About the wrapping and tying: my daughter was very cooperative through the very challenging process of learning the wrapping techniques. She thought it was funny and loves trying new things. However, I see my friends' children and can't imagine them tolerating what my daughter did. She was incredibly patient and amused, so just keep that in mind in case your lovely one is a little on the impatient side. I don't think it is for everyone.

Bottom line is that I like it. It's great for tidepooling and beachcombing and everything else I would sort of hesitate to do with her because of her small size. It seems super safe. If I could use it riding the bike and have it be legal, it would be a very solid five stars. I just don't get how mounting babes on the handlebars is any safer than strapping babes to your body while bicycling. Has anyone tried this?

But the price tag is ridiculous, Didymos. Jesus. 160$??? I'd pay twice that to make my husband stop reminding me of how much we spent on this thing.

I have a size 6 Girasol woven wrap, and wanted to try out a different brand in a shorter length. The colors on this are incredibly beautiful, it's a turquoise weft, with olive green, cobalt blue and turquoise. I haven't washed it yet, but so far, it's a little more slippery than my flannel-y Girasol. It forces me to do a really neat wrap job and tighten strand by strand. I love the shorter length (size 4) and it seems to be my go-to so far for out of the house. For around the house, I need my long Gira for the double hammock carry! My toddler is so heavy! I love woven wraps, I've been a baby wearer for 13 years, and only with this last baby (number 4) did I try a woven wrap. Wish I had long ago. There is a HUGE learning curve, but totally worth it. The comfort you get with a good wrap job is unparallelled,in my opinion.

I wish I could get all new moms into wrapping/ wearing their babies. It keeps the baby calm, keeps him close, soothes the mom... it's perfect. Especially for breastfeeding moms, there is nothing more important than keeping baby on your skin as much as possible.

I tried many wraps and carriers and the Didymos is the way to go! Don't let the price scare you off. You get what you pay for, and not only will these last, but if you want to resell them, they hold their value at 100% or sometimes more (people on "babywearing swaps" will pay more for a well broken-in wrap as long as it's been well cared for).

This wrap has been a fantastic addition to our family. I graduated from a Moby once my son was about 15 pounds because the Moby stretched too much at that point. Although the Didymos is expensive, I agree with the concept that it's a good idea to spend money on ways to carry your baby versus setting them down.

The quality of the Didymos fabric is supurb. I like the breathability and diagonal (minimal) stretch. This wrap will have a long life in our family and possibly be resold, (they hold their value very well) or handed down. I was thrilled to buy my Didymos from Amazon. I highly recommend this wrap for infants or older babies. I plan to use this with my baby as he grows into toddlerhood. :)
