Not to die for, but solid effort, August 25, 2000

Of my soundtrack collection, this selection is not a paticular favorite; however, the CD in it's entirety it is a perfect mirror of the film - so if you enjoyed the film you will most likely favor this CD. On its own, without film scene references, the compilation is a bit lack luster. In my opinion the highlight is Donovan's Season of the Witch. The less well known Donovan tune (he is best knows for "They Call Me Mellow Yellow") is worthy of a repeat play. I would also say the appearance of "Sweet Home Alabama" on this CD is tired. How many times can that song be highlighted on a soundtrack?
