About the Author

Christopher Klein is a die-hard Boston sports fan who has attended sporting events around the globe, from Aussie Rules Football in Melbourne to sumo wrestling in Tokyo. His sports articles have been featured in The Boston Globe, ESPN.com, and New England Travel. He has also written for numerous history and travel publications, including National Geographic Traveler, American Heritage, and AAA Horizons. His latest book, Discovering the Boston Harbor Islands: A Guide to the City s Hidden Shores, was published by Union Park Press in 2008. He lives in Waltham, Massachusetts with his wife and son.

I'm pretty new to Boston and the sports craze here is out of control. I bought the guide as an introduction of sorts I guess and its been an awesome lifesaver!

The background of each sport is really interesting and now I know some trivia that the boys at the bar don't know!

Excellent guidebook. Do not look any further...it covers everything I wanted to know (and I am truly a die-hard Boston fan), and everything I needed. Precise writing, excellent research on each team/organization/venue, and great tips and info on deals. Really got me excited for the summer sports season and the Red Sox next title run!
