"To Die or Not to Die?" is the ninth entry in the latest reincarnation of the Hardy Boys, a staple of adventure detective fiction for several generations of American grade schoool boys. The Hardy Boys are now available in graphic novel format, with exciting art work and new storylines.As this story opens, Frank and Joe Hardy are busy at work for American Teens Against Crime (ATAC), a clever plot device that allows them to solve exotic cases while uncover. Their new assignment is to protect a beautiful young actress enrolled in a national summer acting camp. The assignment is perfect for budding thespian Frank, who promptly falls in love with the girl he and Joe are supposed to protect. Someone makes a series of determined attempts on the lives of the girl and her fellow actors. Frank and Joe will race the killer to a dramatic conclusion. "To Die or Not to Die?" is a good storyline for our high school heroes, who fit easy into an oversized drama club mystery with a deadly edge. It is highly recommended to fans of the Hardy Boys graphic novels. |
