I have yet to buy an album of Laith Al-Deen that I disliked. He is not widely known in the US, but has been a popular figure in Europe for some time. He is a prolific composer whose music speals to and touches the listener. I do not speak German, but the songs he sings in that language appeal to me and some are quite moving. Language is a barrier that his music overcomes.

Pretty darn good, June 25, 2009

Laith's latest CD is another nice addition to my little collection. My absolute favorite song is "Keine wie Du". Once you hear this song one time, you won't forget its catchy tune and the great lyrics. "Du" is also very likeable as are a couple of other songs. In my own opinion, this CD is not as good as its predecessor "Melomanie" but it really has some gems on it. Every one of Laith's CDs is a little bit different from the previous one and one can tell how he is evolving. He's a great writer and singer.
