A fine collection of relaxing songs,

Ulla Meinecke's music styles have ranged across the board from outraged punk to streetwise habituée to sultry seductress (as shown on the cover here). Die Tänzerin's early material comes from LP releases now normally only available on poorly-remastered CDs, and the sound quality here is definitely better.Overall, it's a pleasant collection to have for the fan of Ulla Meinecke, and a great starter if you want to introduce someone to her music. There's an amount of (easily-understood) slang in some songs, but overall the vocals are crystal-clear andwould be well-suited to a student of the german language.
