Don't bother buying the book or reading it. I had to force myself to continue reading. While the author has a good idea, a good plan to write about a good man, it fails.
The book shows no sign of having been edited. That happens too frequently in self-published books. Too many sentences are much too long to hold the attention of most readers. A sentence that runs to 50 or 60 or more words is too often encountered. Some of those become so convoluted that they are difficult to follow, much less understand. Vocabulary is often beyond the average reader. It gives indications of having been a dissertation for a degree or adapted from such.
I knew Dr. Tolbert from my arrival in Liberia in 1964 and through his administration. He was a friend. I bought the book hoping for a clear look at his dreams, achievements, and enemies.
Rewrite and have it edited. In other words, try again because the topic is a good one.
