From Library Journal
Diego Giacometti (1902-1985), brother of the better-known Alberto, here receives appreciation as one of the great craftsmen and sculptors of the 20th century. The preface and text are informative on an intimate and personal level (both authors knew the artist well) and nearly the full range of Giacometti's furniture, furnishings, and sculpture is presented. Marchesseau states his goal was to make Diego's work better known rather than to produce a full biography. On its own terms, this is a beautiful and successful book. Considering the difficult originals, the illustrations are very good. Recommended. Jack Perry Brown, Art Inst. of Chicago Lib.
