The shoes are cute, and my son is so excited to wear them because they light up. However, it's impossible for him to put them on by himself and difficult even for me because you have to try to stretch and hold the tongue in place and then slide the foot in. Almost makes me wish I had 3 hands. My son still loves them, but he would also love a more practical light up Diego shoe as well.

thinking about returning these shoes.. They are nice looking but I was not aware when I bought the shoes that they have inner elastic bands inside the shoes, for the foot to slide in. It makes it very difficult to put on the shoes on a toddler.

If you're looking for a great play shoe at a great price - this is it. Last Summer, we bought our first pair of these for our very active toddler. It still looks nearly perfect. When I found out about the sale, I went ahead and ordered two more sizes, now I'm wishing I had ordered another pair. We also took advantage of a 1/2 price Tsukihoshi shoe sale elsewhere, and wile the velcro/tongue construction is easier - my son still prefers his Diego shoes.
