5.0 out of 5 stars Great Country Concert DVD!
A fantastic live performance by Dierks Bentley at the Fillmore in Denver Colorado. Great energy as Dierks and his band are dead-on this night! It is filmed sort of dark but it makes you feel like you are in this small concert venue along with the crowd. The sound on the dvd is incredible and both Dolby Digital 5.1 and the superior DTS 5.1 are available on the same disc...

5.0 out of 5 stars Kiwi Review, May 13, 2007
This review is from: Dierks Bentley: Live and Loud at the Fillmore (DVD)
There is little live country music avilable in New Zealand so we always look forward to receiving a new Live Country DVD. Dierks Bentley's DVD certainly measured up to our expectations. Lots of energy, Fine Musicianship, and a lively crowd. The songs written by Dierks Bentley are very good. I also really enjoyed the two Blugrass songs, and his tributes to two of my favorite singer Waylon & Johnny Cash. Would love to catch one of his live shows one day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Done DVD, August 27, 2007

We are finally starting to see more country artists do live albums and concert DVDs. For many years it was mainly rock and other genres that dominated this arena of music. With the age of high-definition digital recording it's now possible to capture concerts dirt cheap and bring them to market very quickly.

This DVD is absolutely spectacular. Shot in high-definition and formatted for 16x9 widescreen viewing, it brings you as close to the real performance as you're going to get.

Sound quality is stunning with very little audience noise. Clearly they took most of it directly off the soundboard and only mixed in a little of the audience noise creating a very balanced and natural effect that reveals the true talent of the performers. They recorded on a good night when they were sounding their best and it shows. As an added bonus we get a Johnny Cash cover (Fulsom Prison Blues).

Overall I give 5 stars. A flawless recording with plenty of extra video goodies (interviews, and the video for "Every Mile A Memory."

Great video, it's cool to see one of your favorite country stars actually singing the songs, not just playback like so many pop artists. Dierks is very talented, I wish I could do what he makes look so easy!

If you like Dierks Bently, you'll love this DVD...the concert is fabulous. But I especially enjoyed the extras, getting to know the band, seeing him with his dog..etc.

OK. I gotta admit that it was his looks that got me into his music.
I don't really care much for country music. I don't hate it it's just not my taste. I like one or two songs here and there. A friend of mine bought one of his CD for me (Modern day drifter). She knew that I thought he was the cutest. I started listening to it in my car. After couple times I started to get into it and I eventually ended up liking it alot. I went out and bought his first CD and ended falling in love with couple songs on that CD. When his third CD came out I bought it right away without hesitation. I was really surprised that he's just getting better on every CD that he puts out. It's even better than Modern day drifter CD.
When I found out that he will have his DVD out I put in preorder right away. Now I fell in love with him even more. In special behind the scenes on the DVD was very good. We get to see the real him. He seems so normal, not acting like he was a big superstar and that's made him more unique than everybody else. He looks like someone who live next door to you that just love to sing and make good music.
If you don't have his third CD. Get it. You'll love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars DARN GOOD!, March 28, 2007

This review is from: Dierks Bentley: Live and Loud at the Fillmore (DVD)
This is a brilliant 'live & loud' performance DVD by Bentley and crew. Althought I can't for all intents and purposes state it makes you feel like you were in attendance, there is an unassuming sincerity that compliments the fervent joyfulness of a live DB performance.

Bentley is a blend of deep-rooted country graciousness fused with a stanch and dedicated admiration and thanks for and to his audience that is striking when combined with his contemporary songwriting abilities and renderings.

The sound is outstanding.
The set is perfection.
The crowd is rowdy and with him, making for a darn perfect interaction.
The extras are genuine Bentley...though, longer would have been better.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Treasure for any Dierks Bentley Fan!, March 22, 2007

This review is from: Dierks Bentley: Live and Loud at the Fillmore (DVD)
While nothing beats the experience of a live Dierks Bentley concert, this video captures the best elements and is the second best thing. The concert features many of his big hits like "What Was I Thinkin?", "Come a Little Closer" and "Lot of Leavin' Left to Do" as well as some album cuts and some covers (including "Folsom Prison Blues" and even a bit of "Tiger By the Tail"). True fans have come to expect a Bluegrass inspired poriton of the concert and will not be disappointed.

The bonus footage includes live interviews of the band and crew as well as a guest appearance by Jake (trusted mascot and star of album covers and videos).

This is a great concert video you will want to watch over and over again.

This Dierks Bentley DVD is the next best thing than seeing him in concert.I saw him on the tour last Summer and after seeing it as well as this I'd say it is the next best thing.Ive never seen another Country concert DVD put together exactly like this. The photography is great and the music is great! If you like the music of Dierks Bentley I think you'll like this. He does all his hits from his first two cds as well as other songs.
