4.0 out of 5 stars The higher quality versian of converse.
Before I purchased this shoe, I was content with my converse all stars. Boy was I wrong. You can tell right out of the box these shoes are no ordinary canvas basic shoe. The cloth material screams quality, and the product is solid. The shoes are comfortable from the outset, no breaking in required. 3.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful but didn't last long
It's a beautiful sneaker, but lasted only a couple of months.
I haven't used that much, but the times I did I believe I put it to test.
Started to detach on the sides, and when it got very dirty it was impossible to clean.
Maybe you can be a little luckier.

4.0 out of 5 stars The higher quality versian of converse., February 14, 2010

Before I purchased this shoe, I was content with my converse all stars. Boy was I wrong. You can tell right out of the box these shoes are no ordinary canvas basic shoe. The cloth material screams quality, and the product is solid. The shoes are comfortable from the outset, no breaking in required. The Magnet Exposure also contains much needed padding that Converse shoe's lack. The main downside here of course is price. These shoes are considerably more expensive than converse, and there is no garuntee they will hold up very long due to the fact the shoe is basically modeled after the all-star, which are notorious for falling apart after a few months of wear. I have owned the shoe for about a month now and have seen no problems. I would recommend this shoe to anyone wanting a better versian of the converse classic design, but with the trade-off of a higher price.

I like these shoes. They are very bright (I have the red color), and have a classic sneaker look to them. They are different then chuck taylors, and I really like the diesel logo and the pockets on the sides of the shoes. They feel more comfortable then chucks and seem to me feel like the size of the shoe is identified correctly by manufacturer. Would by them again.

2.0 out of 5 stars At least they look nice...., February 20, 2010

I really, really want to like this shoe. I should start with the positives, these shoes look great. I have gotten lots of compliments on them. Also the little pockets on the side are really cool and more useful than you might think. Beyond that I can't really think of anything else nice to say about these things. These shoes are as uncomfortable as sin, the stupid rubber toe thing wears holes through brand new socks in about a day of wear and also makes you constantly have to check to be sure your toes aren't bleeding. Take heed of the words of a previous reviewer and get at least a half size larger than what you might normally wear, everything else I wear a 10, I bought 10 and a half on these, and sometimes wish I had gotten an 11. I thought that perhaps the lack of comfort was due to some breaking in process, as I have worn them about 20-25 times, but they have already begun to come apart. For as expensive as they were, I would expect at least an ounce of quality in the craftmanship. Do yourself a favor and get something else. I'm stuck with these little beasts until my 5.11's get here.
