Dr. Stutman offers a new book on weight loss. The basis of the book - 20 Grams of fat a day, 20 minutes of walking a day - is basic common sense. However, Dr. Stutman writes in an engaging manner, keeping the pages turning as he slips in a lot of useful information. There are sample menus to stay on track with the proper distribution of fat, protein and carbohydrates. Dr. Stutman goes over the fiber content in various foods, the different types of fat, how veggies are full of all sorts of good stuff and help fight disease...I could go on, but this book is worth reading to find out for yourself. The other focus in this book is exercise. Dr. Stutman goes over the various types of aerobic exercise, though he spends the most time on his registered Fit-Step Program. Fit-Step is about walking, though the category is rather broader than that since dancing is one type of "Step." For a common sense approach to weight loss, good health and a plan that can last a lifetime, I recommend DIET-STEP 20/20 FOR WOMEN ONLY!

Dr. Fred Stutman's Diet-Step 20 Grams/20 Minutes for Women Only! is a "user friendly" weight-loss and fitness guide written in response to the many other diets for women that spark initial weight loss but usually end with the weight being gained back. Diets in which most of the weight loss is water, diets that cause the dieter's body to burn muscle protein, and diets that unintentionally prompt binging are all poor health choices. Diet-Step 20 Grams/20 Minutes for Women Only! counters all of these problems with a two-step program that combines a high-fiber, low fat diet with a daily exercise plan of 20 minutes of walking. The goal is healthy, lifelong diet and fitness for women, allowing even the occasional dessert.
