I credit this book for helping me cure my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

In addition to drinking "Green Smoothies" daily (see, "Green For Life" by Victoria Boutenko), I eliminated sugar and wheat products from my diet and that was the key that helped me make it through a day without the mandatory 2-3 hour nap that I'd been taking for the previous 7 years!

I've read about the Atkins Diet, the Blood Type Diet, Vegetarian Diets, Macrobiotic Diets, All Raw Food Diets, etc. How can any one diet be right for all people?

This book shows you how to find the foods that are nourishing and energizing for YOUR body.

Food allergies (or intolerances) can cause a host of symptoms from weight retention to low energy to headaches to irritability (and more).

I agree with the previous review. This book could change your life if the advice (do an elimination diet to discover the foods that are not good for you and then don't eat those foods) was actually implemented!

I've known for a while that what I eat affects how I feel. But never before has what I eat been portrayed in such a way that physiology and chemistry make SENSE! Diet Wise is going to be a revolution. No longer do we have to try one fad or another! What we eat can be a customized and unique as who we are as people. It's about time!

The author is well experienced in dealing with food allergies. He includes details on how to self diagnose these sensitivities. If you are experiencing any chronic illness or even a chronic stuffy nose, I would purchase this book.

Good book, lots of excellent information. Unfortunately, the foods that he claims are most often allergens, are not allergens for me.
And the foods most people can eat, I can not. (I had blood work drawn to find out my allergens/sensitivities)

You will learn how to determine yours though, and how to help "clear" you body of them.

This book is definitely for people who are really interested in making the changes required to feel better again. And that takes time, patience, and a willingness to change.

I've been reading books on food allergy for years and this book had information I already knew. It had a lot I didn't also. The Dr gives you the information but it doesn't feel like it's being forced on you. It's not a lot of scientific mumbo jumbo, it's intelligent but can be easily read by anyone. It's certainly opened my eyes to a number of things I really needed to know. Am feeling better already and I haven't even finished the book yet.

I have suffered from chronic insomnia for some time now and it wasn't until I discovered a food intolerance to sugar that I was able to find the root cause.

Since being sugar-free, I have dropped by systolic blood pressure by 20 points in less than 3 days.

I no longer need herbal supplements to help me sleep and if I avoid my food sensitivities, I can get a good night's sleep.

Understanding your personal food sensitivities is critical to your ability to maintaining or achieving vibrant health and this book provides a lot of great information to demonstrate this point as well as actionable advice for how to implement your own diagnosis plan.

Food intolerances are referred to as "Familial Non-Reaginic Food Allergies". This means that they usually don't show up on blood tests because they do not involve typical antibody reactions but, rather, inflammatory processes. Look up "Food Intolerance" on Wikipedia.

The elimination diet and subsequent foot testing process is the best way to effectively uncover hidden food intolerances.

Once you find them and remove them from your diet, you will be glad you did. You won't believe how much better you feel.

I was curious about the concept. Wasn't too sure if I was going to agree. But after reading it, realized it made a lot of sense. I've learned I'm allergic to dairy and sugar. I lost 8 pounds in 10 days and haven't needed to nap as often. Feeling better and better each week.
