4.0 out of 5 stars sadly overlooked, but not forgotten
This CD is among my favorites, a pleasure to pull of the shelf and listen to every year or so. I think it is excellent, and way ahead of its time. Nothing like Cock Robin indeed----and better. Cock Robin could have used some edginess, I'd say. Peter, please do another solo effort, I was sorely disappointed with the latest Cock Robin revival effort.

3.0 out of 5 stars "Not What I Expected".
This is an ordinary CD solo effort by Peter Kingsbury titled "A Different Man". Indeed Peter Kingsbury is different in vocals & sound in this CD compared to his band Cock Robin, but in a bad way : One can hardly recognize his vocals or musical sound! This CD is rather ordinary with notable tracks "What You Are", "Five Fingers", "The Hand That Feeds Me" & my favourite...

This is an ordinary CD solo effort by Peter Kingsbury titled "A Different Man". Indeed Peter Kingsbury is different in vocals & sound in this CD compared to his band Cock Robin, but in a bad way : One can hardly recognize his vocals or musical sound! This CD is rather ordinary with notable tracks "What You Are", "Five Fingers", "The Hand That Feeds Me" & my favourite "Helene" : even these tracks fail to lift the CD "A Different Man" to more than 3 stars. I was expecting more from this talented singer-songwriter who proved himself in his former band. Peter Kingsbery can certainly release a better product.
