I had these albums way back when, and then was lucky enough to find this rare cd for sale a year or so ago. I can't wait for the individual cd's to come out, as this Best Of only has 4-5 tracks from each album.

That said, it is an excellent collection, really represents the best of Cowboy.

This band was SO under-rated, it is ridiculous. Even most late 60's, early '70's afficianados have never heard of them! But they wrote great songs, played great, and this is one of my favorite albums!

If they ever come out with the individual albums, please be sure to buy the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ones, at least.

It is apparently now out of print, but sometimes you can find it at amazon used or half.com.

I agree with the other reviewers, these guys were great and they never got the recognition they deserved. Would be great if their albums were re-released on CD including the 1974 album titled Cowboy-Boyer & Talton, an absolutely GREAT record! I saw Cowboy with Greg Allman back in 1973 and they tore the place up.

this is a great cd and band if u dont know it they are on the gregg allman tour lp they are his band and do a few of their own great stuff

god...i cant find the cowboy disc "5'll getcha 10" in this world...i finally got a copy of "reach for the sky' from a very unlikely source thru ebay{thanks so much b.a.} i have album recorded discs of both of these and one cd version of reach, but who can help me with 5 to 10?? anyway, these guys were so far under the radar its a dam shame.prolly the best country rock outfit of their time only if they got their due...such beautiful tunes and melodies...man i miss that in rocknroll..

these guys are great. i always said there would be no groups like the eagles if it werent for cowboy. i have the old stuff on vinyl, but i cant pay 80 flipping dollars for 2 discs here!!!

I love cowboy always have, still have a couple of LP's so why can't I purchase a damn copy of this recording?

Everything was excellent except the price. I have since shopped around and found some alot cheaper than what I paid. But, I had to have it for someone's birthday and they loved it. So, money well spent.

Cowboy were only around a few years and made four lp's and one combo of the first two. I got to see them in a small converted movie theater in downtown Miami in 73. Talk about some fine sounding country rock. This band is right up there with early Poco and the Eagles when they had Bernie with them. If you can find their stuff, get it and enjoy. I still enjoy this cd and all of the vinal that I still pull out from time to time.

But- Its gotta be good. Have you ever heard the dobro on the track "Please be with me" with the greatest slide guitar player ever on it. Duane Allman tears that song up. It is a beautiful tune. You can also get that song with the Duane Allman Anthology. Im on the waiting list for this CD.
