5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Differential Equations textbooks ever
As a student of Professors Lomen and Lovelock I can say with confidence that this is one of the best Differential Equations textbooks I've worked with. The book clearly explains all the concepts, provides numerous examples, and covers everything that there is to be known. Perfect as a supplement to your class lectures or as a way to teach yourself what you might not have...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not enough examples
Most math books present an idea or theorem then provides a few examples worked out step by step. This book presents the idea in text then kind of explains a problem through text, then moves on. If you're looking for your typical math book, this isn't it. If you're required to use it I suggest also getting the solutions manual, that way you have some problems worked out...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not enough examples, January 26, 2011
This review is from: Differential Equations: Graphics, Models, Data (Paperback)
Most math books present an idea or theorem then provides a few examples worked out step by step. This book presents the idea in text then kind of explains a problem through text, then moves on. If you're looking for your typical math book, this isn't it. If you're required to use it I suggest also getting the solutions manual, that way you have some problems worked out for you (but not all- the solutions manual does the odd number, but if there are parts to it -like a,b,c,d,e- it will only solve every other part -a,c,e- so be ware.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Deal, September 27, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Differential Equations: Graphics, Models, Data (Paperback)
This book was in excellent condition for the price I paid for it. Normally this book runs around $160 + tax in the regular college book stores, and I purchased it for literally almost 1/3 of that price. This product arrived promptly and was definitely worth the savings lol.
