This book will surely cover all the contents of a classical course on classical differential geometry ,every theorem is presented with a clear and complete proof. Forget the books of Millman-Parker, Struik or Cormo, where the theorems come from air...if u really want to learn classical differential geometry just buy that book.

This beautiful, incisive and up-to-date treatment of classical differential geometry shows that D Somasundaram is blessed with a profound mathematical thought. I have particularly appreciated some smart and agile procedures which give the reader an illuminating insight into the essence of Mathematics. Obviously the inexperienced reader need to be willingly interactive if he wants to reach a full comprehension of the matter, and in my opinion this is the greatest merit of the book.
