This kit works perfectly on Ford and GM axles. It saves you a lot of frustration and problems. This set is rather large for Dana 35 axles and similar.

I used this product on the rear differential of a 1990 Ford F150 4x4.

I'll admit - I thought for sure I was wasting my money when I bought this. But since this product is cheaper than every other part you'd have to break to get the pin out anyway, I figured it was worth a shot.

It arrived promptly, and with instructions included. The included drill bit guide bolt threads right into the hole where the broken bolt head was, and the drill bit is thin enough and just flexible enough to allow drilling in such a tight space with a standard sized household electric drill. I followed the instructions, removing the bit periodically as stated to allow cuttings to be removed from the hole. I then used the included tapered-square extractor to bite into the broken piece of the pin that I drilled into, and to my surprise it actually caught it and I was able to thread it out.

This brilliant product saved me a tremendous amount of time, money, and headaches. I went from skeptic to fan of this product in the time it took to drill a 1/4" hole. I highly recommend you try this product before attempting to cut, grind, or smash your way to freeing the broken bolt!
