About the Author
Mayte began her career as a local news reporter, she quickly reached one of the top positions in U.S. Hispanic national television news programming as host and producer of Univision’s "America". After the birth of her two children, Mayte decided to start producing and hosting children’s programming.
Mayte Prida is a successful businesswoman, television host, journalist and mother. She was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 38 years old. As soon as she knew about her disease, she decided to eloquently document her experiences, without knowing her destiny. She did it to help other people accept the tough reality that people through while fighting and surviving this dreaded disease.
She has spoken on behalf of different women-oriented organizations, such as the American Cancer Society, the Florida Breast Cancer Coalition, Bosom Buddies and La Liga Contra el Cancer, among others.
