A glam introduction to Nick Cave,

Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!! was my introduction to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, among his many incarnations (see also the Birthday Party, etc.,) From the opening notes to the end- it grabs you off your seat and gets your feet stompin' and your hips swayin'. I'm too young to recommend this with irony- but perhaps it is prime for the Electric Slide?
Hey, it's free, it's fun- if you hate it, delete it, but I doubt you will :-) Also, check out the music video on Youtube, which is pretty cool. I also highly recommend Night of the Lotus Eaters (the title is similar to a chapter in James Joyce's Ulysses in case it sounded familiar), tho it is slower than all of the other tracks, which about the same tempo as Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!! Very glam, definitely fun album! (Tho Albert Goes West's lyrics are a little crude for the conservative listeners, but it's Nick Cave, what do you expect?!) When I bought the album I listened to it for three weeks straight. Hope you like it as much as I do! |
