Very impressive collection of songs, October 14, 2008

This is one of the strongest debuts I've ever heard. This disc comes fully formed as a lovely, poetic collection of songs. Former member of Deerhoof and leader of The Curtains Chris Cohen has pioneered an intimate and lean rock musical album. The lead female singer has the clear untouched voice of a 1940s musical theater star. The raucous guitars and percussion call to mind a Deerhoof aesthetic, but the melodies are more controlled and melodic. It is a beautiful, underrated work. See Sufjan Stevens review, or just buy this album now! Highly Recommended! If it doesn't grab you at first live with it a little longer. When I first heard it I wrote it off, but Dig That Treasure has so much to offer.
