I have a 3 year old nephew who cannot get enough of this DVD. He claps when the dynamite goes off and names off every machine as they come on the screen - I highly reccomend this for any preschooler.

My son LOVES this DVD. It's fun, fast-paced and educational.
He loves anything to do with cars, machines, and how things work- this series is perfect for him. I have a feeling we'll be collecting the entire set! :)

My son loves anything to do with construction vehicles and this was a big hit!

My son is three years old and he is fascinated by construction vehicles and equipment. He also loves tractors and all kinds of heavy machinery. He loves for me to look up videos of such equipment on youtube, so I decided to buy this DVD for him.

At first when I heard the "digging song" (one of the first songs) I thought "Oh no, this DVD is going to be SO corny"! Then I looked over at my son and he was totally engrossed in watching it ! There are a few (corny by ADULT standards) songs on the DVD and yes, there are (corny by adult standards) people giving the equipment different "voices" and names but my three year old LOVES it. The songs are not too long and there is plenty of quiet time where it's just the machines working.

There are different episodes/adventures on the DVD and each one is really good. There is a construction site, a quarry, demoltion, etc. Each segment is fairly educational as there is a child's level explanation for what each different machine/vehicle is for.

My son gets his toy construction vehicles out and plays with them while he watches the DVD. I have caught him in his room singing the "digging song" a few times and it's so cute. He will even do the voices when he's playing with his toys in his room.

I would say if your child LOVES to watch equipment at work, with NO frills then this is the DVD for you.

The ONLY negative I can think of is that we WISH that the real motor sounds were louder. My son loves to hear the engine noises.

My 2 year old absolutely loves this video. He asks to watch it repeatedly each day and he'll sit completely captivated when it's on. I'm personally tired of hearing it play over and over again. I'm hoping to find him a similar DVD to give us a little variety but I can't imagine that anything else will compare.

My two year old grandson loves this DVD. He's into DIRT and any large tractors and dump trucks. The crane segment is boring for him. But otherwise he will watch this DVD several times a day if we'd let him.

My two-year-old son remains captivated by this DVD and asks to watch it daily. I think it's a little corny with the truck's names and voices, but I'm not exactly the target audience. I think kiddos who are used to television programming (Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network) are more likely to find this boring. I love that this is live-action and somewhat informative. I've learned a thing or two about diggers and dozers in the process. Now if I could just get that interminable background song out of my head...

Maybe I have an isolated incident, but my DVD stopped playing and I had to restart my DVD player to get it to start again. It played ok on my computer with skipping and stopping here and there. My son loves it, but the poor quality of the disc prevented him from enjoying it and ultimately ended in frustration for both of us. I am very computer savvy and even with DVD software that can repair these issues haven't worked. Finally, I'm using a program to manually repair all of the failed sectors on this disc. The bottom line- be aware that this firesale of all the Mighty Machine discs could be because of a known issue, or perhaps this was an isolated issue.

Let me start off by saying that my 2 1/2 year old son really enjoys most of this video! He is actually watching it as I type!

There are three different video segments..."At the Construction Site", "Demolition" and "The Rock Quarry". My son requests the first and third video all the time, but doesn't care much for the demolition one. You can choose to "Watch all three" or select the individual videos (which is what we usually do, as 20-25 minutes a video is really all he needs to watch at a time).

They personify the different machines by giving them each a voice and having them tell what they are doing as they go about their "job". Hearing the different accents is a little cheesy, but cute.

Some of the machines are not correctly identified (my husband works for Caterpillar, so that irritates him a bit), but my son doesn't know and doesn't care:) My only other complaint is that the four "bonus videos" at the end have to be selected individually (there is no "play all" feature), which means I have to keep returning to the tv to select the next video.

A little cheaply made, but for the price, you can't complain too much! Was a nice addition to our "digger" collection. However, if you are looking for something a little higher quality, I'd recommend the "I Love CAT Machines" videos. Kind of like Baby Einstein, but with heavy machinery!

This dvd is chok full of construction vehicles and for 6.99 I can't image anything more worth the money for my three year old. He loves it(his sisters too).
