Customer Reviews

Great toy storage and easy to carry.

Moreover, if you want to pull it without a child sitting on it and guiding the steering, the front wheel isn't stable and thus difficult to direct.

I recommend to anyone traveling with small children.

fits VERY few things. i feel like they could have done without that indentation on the side for the sake of being able to fit more in it. the lock/opening/closing system really super sucks too. you have to lift the seat to reveal a sliding lock bar, which you slide over, in addition to lifting up the license plate in back on the bottom to unlatch as well. all at the time same. but the seat doesn't stay up on its own, and the license plate doesn't stay up on its own, so you have to use both hands to hold these up so they don't fall back down while you try to open it and result in not being able to open it, which leaves you with hand #3 to actually pull apart the suitcase sides to open it. oh wait. then when you get it open it's very clumsy and results in stuff falling out all over the place. also, good to note: CHILD MUST KNOW HOW TO STEER. if they don't, you cannot pull them or they will just tip. and tip. and tip. my son is finally old enough to steer it, but it was a pain before that. they're not fast enough to scoot on their own and keep up, but if you pull them, it just goes wobbly and turns and tips. and the only option left after that is to carry it and leave your toddler to walk... or carry them as well. NOT helpful. overall i think this thing is cute, and allows me to bring extra stuff on board for my son without taking up room in my bags, but it really takes a high level of tolerance at the same time, and every time i travel i curse myself for bringing it. my husband finally traveled with us this last time we used it and HATES it and is demanding i sell it. it's basically an entire extra heavy item to have to carry and schlep and haul around just to bring aboard a few small toys that *could* easily go into our bags.Read more ›

Decent suitcase and time waster at airport. I have a very active 20 month old and this kept him occupied for short periods of time at the airport. He loved it at first but got bored eventually and started running around the terminal. I know people hate that so I usually go to a secluded area of the airport until close to boarding time (I know off topic, hehe). Anyway, the suit case takes a little while for the little guys/gals to get used to. My son has a little scooter at home and flys around the house with out any regard. When he tried that with this he ended up falling quite bit in the beginning when trying to turn. This is expected as suitcases just are'nt built center of gravity wise to be driven around like a scooter. That's ok though, they will get used to it and slow down when turning, or put their foot down in preparation. Turning radius is not the greatest, but pulling the skooter slowly to baggage claim with the little one on board is good. You will need to support the suitcase when making turns, but no big deal.

The inside of the case is actually quite clever. There is a clothing section that has the standard suitcase elastic straps so you don't have to worry much about clothes falling out. when you open it at the airport to grab something. on top of that you can stack some smaller toys or snacks. I would probably only recommend this for shorter trips as you will get far more storage from a regular carry on. Also carrying this thing is a bit awkward...not to bad though. Comes with a strap for pulling/carrying (attached to a first or second eye loop).

You will also get a lot of attention from passing females. You will hear "aww that is so cute!" many time at the airport when your little one is riding this thing.

It's fun. Love the color. Not so stable and could be a little bit larger. But it's ok to put a few toys and stuff for a weekend. Not so practical to really take it in a plane travel.

This product is fantastic! I bought it for my 2-year-old. I was concerned about keeping him busy in between flights. With what ended up being a five hour layover, he rode the Skootcase for hours. I pulled him as he moved his feet. All the exercise resulted in a sleeping child on the plane. Great toy storage and easy to carry. Great product!

Fit: it is a great fit for our nearly 2 year old, he is 35 inches and 29 pounds and its perfect, his feet are at a great height to pedal. He will probably use this for a few years to come.

Fantastic idea in this product, our son used to ride on our luggage whenever we needed to get someplace and didn't want to carry him, so why not let him have a luggage he can ride on of his own? Brilliant! Execution is excellent, highly durable plastic and great style. Its not the best suitcase (wish it were bigger) nor the best scooter but it is a very well designed compromise of both (if it were a bigger suitcase it would be heavier and too big for my toddler).

As a suitcase its 3-4 stars, not very large but decent enough for a few clothes and some toys, plus pretty light and easy to carry for parents. As a bike/scooter its again 3-4 stars, the lightweight here makes it somewhat unstable but it is low to the ground so falls are not too bad, steering is pretty decent and stability with two back wheels is good. Having a decent suitcase that is also a decent bike gets a big star bump. For style, its 5 stars all the way, color in person is less vivid than the blue pictured and its a nice light shade of sky blue, even has a license plate frame on the back (which we personalized with a vanity plate).

My only complaint is the strap on this product is not great, the plastic clips have a tendency to slip off the hooks and on a couple of occasions it went flying off shoulders, but it took this beating quite well and thanks to the double latching it never busted open.
