5.0 out of 5 stars Mommy of 3
I bought this for my 18 month old. He watches his siblings and Dad play softball and he was using sticks for a bat. This is perfect because it is inflatable so therefore nothing gets broken and no one gets hurt.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice idea, poor execution

I purchased this item for my 18 month old god-son. It was easy to set up and get him started. I was surprised how quickly he caught on to hitting the ball off the tee. Unfortunately, the bat (which consists of a hard plastic handle connected to a soft air filled barrel) had to be reassembled over and over again. Each time he swung the ball the barrel began to slip off the handle more & more. After about 3 or 4 swings the barrel would fall completely off and have to be replaced. I'm considering an attempt to super glue the handle to the handle, maybe that will work. Clearly, I didn't expect this toy to last forever, but it should be durable to handle the swings of an 18 month baby.

I ordered this thinking from the pictures that all parts were solid plastic. Should have read the info below the line, which clearly states it's all inflatable.

I was somewhat disappointed when I received it and everything was inflatable. Then, I realized I can use it indoors and outdoors. It's actually a plus, for my 3 year old son who is just learning the idea of a bat and ball. Will get him something more solid for outdoors later. We're using it all the time in the house. It works fine and hasn't deflated in the 2 months we've had it.

So, it's a good toy, but know what you're buying. Hope this helps!

Mine came broken I guess. The first time i blew it up for my little boy, the bottom section of the T deflated within 5 minutes. As long as I keep blowing it up, my 2 year old loves it... [...].

You have to hand blow up each piece of this thing and it takes time and I personally can't even do it myself and of course it deflates every day or 2 so I have to get someone else to do it like every single day.

The T is not sturdy because it is just puffed up with air so the ball can't balance on it.

I regret having gotten it.

4.0 out of 5 stars t ball starter, June 18, 2011

We bought this for our 3 year old grandson for play indoors on rainy days. It works well for that. Ball and main part of bat are soft inflatable. No damage to people or lamps or..... So we and he are happy. He can tee it up and the tee is forgiving of bad swings, so he has continued to enjoy it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great idea; poor execution, January 14, 2011

Received this as a gift. The first time we used it the ball broke. We found a whiffle ball to use and the second time we used it the bat broke. We tried using duct tape but there were multiple holes so that didn't work. Big disappointment.

My son loves this toy, but has a hard time making included ball stay on the tee. We have been using a wiffle ball instead. I wish I had just bought a regular tee to begin with. Also, the bat developed a hole on the seam, which makes me this it was a manufacturing issue, not my son's falt - but it did last almost all summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent First Baseball Set, September 14, 2009

This inflatable set is great for toddlers. The bat is extremely fat - think 6 inches or so across - so it's almost impossible for a kid to miss the ball. The ball is also large - approx 8 inches or so in diameter, so a good combination for success there. The stand is also inflatable - you have to put water in the bottom to make it stable. We put other inflatable balls on it, too - less to fetch that way! My unco-ordinated 2 yr old girl can do this much more easily than with the regular plastic baseball kits. Also a cheap price.
