More About the Author

Barbara Elsborg lives in West Yorkshire in the north of England. She always wanted to be a spy, but having confessed to everyone without them even resorting to torture, she decided it was not for her. Vulcanology scorched her feet. A morbid fear of sharks put paid to marine biology. So instead, she spent several years successfully selling cyanide.
After dragging up two rotten, ungrateful children and frustrating her sexy, devoted, wonderful husband (who can now stop twisting her arm) she finally has time to conduct an affair with an electrifying plugged-in male, her laptop.

Her books feature quirky heroines and bad boys, and she hopes they are as much fun to read as they were to write.

This is a racy, riot of a read. I thoroughly enjoyed this contemporary romantic comedy, it made me laugh out-loud on more than one occasion. This was a weird and funny novel and so was the heroine. I'm not sure if I really liked Flick as a person but she was definitely entertaining. Every character in this book was well developed and easy to identify with. I must say I especially enjoyed the less redeeming qualities of some of the key players as it makes for a more realistic feel to the entire story. Some of the things Flicks says and does are very outlandish yet still entirely plausible. This is a pragmatic novel that shows a wonderful glimpse into a modern life. The relationship between Beck and Flick is great, fraught with misunderstandings and sexual attraction. I felt for Flick, as I myself am quite a klutz and while I have never actually injured anyone other than myself I can easily see it happening. For me this is one of those perfect books for summer reading, you stuff it into your beach bag along with a towel and sun screen and you've got a perfect way to spend the day. - Theresa Joseph

Digging Deeper was an enjoyable read and kept me interested in the outcome - which is nice when you're reading a romance novel and are pretty sure you know what's going to happen in the end. These sorts of books thrive on a healthy portion of contrivance, a hint of novelty and spice. I've read some of Elsborg's short stories and erotica, so I was sad not to have more hot sex (what there is was hot, I just wanted more of it) tho I know that's not the romance formula. I also liked all the long-suffering men. Elsborg does good bitching-but-tender-hearted everyman characters. I'm not a huge Anglophile, but this book was full of fun British humor - a nice change of pace for this American romance reader.

I really enjoyed this book, this is my 3rd book by this author and I have been thoroughly entertained by all of them. My sides literally ached after laughing so hard because of most of Flick's antics and experiences. I absolutely loved both Flick and Beck. I believe I have a new favorite author who writes humor. I must add that the tag for this book that reads "menage a trois" is absolutely not true. It is absolutely a humorous, contemporary romance that is clean and sweet with NO erotic or ménage plot attached to it. I am looking forward to reading many more of Ms. Elsborg's books on my kindle.

Read Strangers before I read this so was waiting for a hot romance and this has got me throwing my hands in the air waiting for it to happen. Good light read and had me laughing at some points but a bit too slow for my liking.

I really enjoyed reading Digging Deeper. Barbara writes books that have storylines. I couldn't stop reading it. Ms. Elsborg makes you want to be the character in the story and imagine that you are doing what the characters are doing. I have several of her books on my kindle. Ms. Elsborg is one author that you know her book is great. I plan on purchasing a lot more of her books. You don't need to wait for reviews from other customers who read it just automatically purchase her books. You won't be sorry. Looking forward to reading more of her books. Everyone has their own opinions of things but with any book by Barbara Elsborg you know is a winner.
