I purchased this for the Sony 52" LCD Bravia XBR4 I purchased last week. It's an excellent stand for under $200. I built it so I had more height on the middle shelf (10") to hold my receiver and center speaker, and less room on the bottom shelf (7") to hold my DVD Recorder, Blue-ray player, and Satellite box. (Had to stand my XBOX 360 up on the floor, next to the unit because they run hot and I did not want to lay it down on top of the satellite box on the bottom shelf.) The width between the support columns for the middle and bottom shelves is 41.25". My 52" LCD TV hangs over each side of this unit by about 5" (but plenty of room for the TV's pedestal as this unit's top shelf is 47.25" wide X 17.75" deep. (Middle and bottom shelves are also 17.75" deep.) Shipped to me w/o a scratch. VERY easy to put together (less than an hour, even for those who are not mechanically inclined). I purchased the black unit, and the shelves are black, not smoked (i.e., you cannot see through them). I highly recommended this stand for price and quality.

This is a nice stand, but it is definitely too low for a bedroom. If you want to be able to watch TV from bed, don't purchase this stand.

This is a flimsy, unstable, worthless piece of junk. Take my word for it and do not waste your money or time trying to put this thing together.
