A Awesome Pedal,
By
This review is from: DigiTech Whammy Pedal Re-issue with MIDI Control (Electronics)
This pedal kicks ass. You can turn your guitar into a Bass or a high pitched screaming meachine. The detune actually makes a great Chorus effect and sounds awesome on clean stuff. It can bend notes up to 2 Octaves higher (24 Frets). The harmony effects are cool but it is fixed so you can't do true scale harmonys. The design is pretty rugged and I havent had to reset mine yet. It's good for all styles. I'm into heavy metal and it fits my playing really well. If your in a rut try this pedal out.

Classic Pedal, Must Have for guitarists,
This review is from: DigiTech Whammy Pedal Re-issue with MIDI Control (Electronics)
I rarely write reviews on anything and the only reason why I am writing this is because I feel the need to give recognition for all this pedal has brought me. I would refuse to play guitar without it, its that simple. you can pretty much create any sound you want and i would consider the whammy pedal just as important as my guitar. its easy to use, and extremely worth it, dont second guess here, put up the money trust me its worth it. Ive been playing with it for over a year now and even if all I had was $200 to my name, id still spend every last penny on this pedal.

the red whammy......,
This review is from: DigiTech Whammy Pedal Re-issue with MIDI Control (Electronics)
I have no complaints whatsoever about this pedal except that I have to recalibrate it every few weeks so that when i turn the pedal on, the starting note is the exact note I'm playing (and likewise for the 1(or 2)-octave bend, up or down. I dont use the harmonizing features of the pedal, i have no use for them, but they arent too bad, also.

Just wanted to let buyers know that the adapter is included. I didn't find that mentioned in the description here at Amazon.I ordered an adapter ( at a ridiculously low price) and I will keep it as a back up, but I probably would not have ordered it if I had known that it was included.

if you like the white stripes, audioslave, rage against the machine, buckethead, or even steve vai this pedal is for you. the whammy is absolutely revolutionary it has those space like terradactal noises, and with some delay its even more amazing, it even has a built in chorus like effect on the detune settings, and the harmonizer settings are fun to mess around with too, u can even make your guitar sound like a bass with the one octave down setting, THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!!

This pedal is fantastic. Out of the box with just an hour of fooling around I was playing the solo from Killing in the Name perfectly. It's a lot of fun to use and you can really create some interesting sounds! It is unfortunate that this box is so expensive, being just a whammy, but it's well worth it with all of the pitch shifting effects it can create, and how well it creates them. Just make sure you put it first in your effects loop. The all metal case is really solid and the finish on the metal looks good. I was surprised to see it includes its own power supply.

Cool Unique Pedal,
This review is from: DigiTech Whammy Pedal Re-issue with MIDI Control (Electronics)
This Pedal is really worth the money it sounds good and is defiantly a pedal any guitar player can find a use for. It's pretty unique too I mean how much pedals are a harmonizer, pitchbender and chorus all in one pedal. though a note to people who have never used a whammy pedal this does require some toying around with before you may know how to use it but overall great and indispensable when you do. also some people complain that's its too expensive trust me when you start getting serious about pedals this really isn't that expensive considering all the stuff it does it really makes it a great deal.

This pedal is amazing!! I love it! it does a lot more than i thought it would have. out of all and all i recommend this pedal if your looking for a different sound or whatever. this pedal is worth the get and thats why I'm giving it 5 stars.but now on the other hand when I ordered it i chose the 3-5 day shipping, and to my surprise it took 2 weeks to get to my house. the first week they dropped it and had no idea until I got a hold of em and asked where it was and they said: it hadn't left yet. but other than that this pedal is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! worth the get!

This pedal is so amazing I call it the cheaters pedal. It's more of a cheat than the Gibson Robot that will auto-tune itself. But it's so awesome!Although I purchased it primarily as an adjustable octave pedal, I soon found myself dabbling in its other features. The octave capabilities include root note + 1 octave up, root note + 1 octave down, pitch up 1 octave, pitch up 2 octaves, pitch down 1 octave, pitch down 2 octaves. Here's the first level of cheating; it allows a guitar player, who can usually pick/fret faster than a bassist can pluck/thump/fret (usually, not always), to drop the pitch an octave, essentially turning the guitar into a bass, and then shredding on the guitar. Also, the pitch up (especially 2 octaves up) can make anything on the low strings sound like you're playing a solo on the high end. One thing I don't think is cheating i the addition of an octave. It just adds a low sound that when played in arpeggios and such (for the love of God, don't try playing chords with this pedal) can make the music sound a lot deeper, heavier and darker. The other settings are even more cheating as it allows you to play single notes but supplying your own harmony. You can even add the 5th of the root and be able to play single notes and have it sound like you're playing full power chords. Some of the notes you can add to the root have been more or less useless to me and my style (like adding the 2nd), but over all it's got an impressive list. Although I wanted to give this a 5 star rating since it has become an invaluable element to my guitar playing, it does have a couple things that need to be polished out. First of all, common Digitech, put in a damn bank. I would be far easier to use my feet to switch from one effect to the other than either stopping, bending over and turning the knob or if you're in the middle of the song, trying to use your foot which rarely ends up landing on the effect you want. Also, the Dive Bomb effect is only useful if you have ten minutes to spend pushing the pedal down. Okay, that was a slight exaggeration but point is you have to be real light and slow using Dive Bomb to actually get a good Dive Bomb effect (I'd rather just use a whammy bar but if I'm using the Les Paul this can suffice). Last issue is the tension on the pedal. After being used a lot it has a tendency to tighten up so, for example, you it was set to raise the root 2 octaves up and you start pushing the pedal up, when you get to the top it MIGHT go back down slightly, thus ruining the intended sound (this also can happen for any other setting too). To remedy this, one would have to provide constant pressure on the top of the pedal to keep it fully up, or on the bottom to keep it fully down. Also, adjusting the tension in the pedal will loosen it up, fixing the problem for at least awhile. All in all, excellent product. If single note augmentation or altering pitch and octaves is something you do or want to get into, this is your catalyst. Additional Info: Has both Wet and Dry outs. Made of metal, thus, extremely durable. Settings can be changed using a MIDI keyboard, though that still doesn't help the guitarist much. |
