5.0 out of 5 stars The Second Volume At Last!
Okay first of all, Digimon isn't just some little kids cartoon. I'm twelve, and I've been watching for forever! If you bought volume one, you should buy this video too because more of the kids digimon reach their champion stage and the story gets more complex. The episode with Kabuterimon (did I spell that right?) is really neat. The entire digimon series is worth...

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay, but the Japanese Version...
Okay, I'm a really big fan of Anime, but I think, that the Japanese Version of this is much better, this Anime is dubbed very well, but it could be dubbed better, they took out the good music (Jazz) and the Anime Series has lots more potenial.

The entire digimon series is worth watching even if you aren't into anime, though that helps. The character design has a way of making you forget that what you're watching is Jappanese and soon the only thing you'll notice is the ocasional (VERY ocasional) dubbing error. I'm not sure I understand why its taking them so long to make new videos though. It might be wiser to watch Digimon on TV if you are short on allowance. By the way, did you know that mon means crest in Jappanese?

5.0 out of 5 stars Just as good as Volume one, February 29, 2000

Now first I need to say that Digimon is not a rip-off of Pokemon. In Japan, Digimon came out in 1991, Monster Rancher came out in 1994, and Pokemon came out in 1995. Digimon is an excellent show. I used to hate Digimon but afetr seeing episode 32 or so one morning, I really started to appreciate the story. Digimon is for kids about 9-13. It has great humor and loveable characters, each with their own special personality. After you watch this video, you will watch it every day of the week on tv. You'll be waiting for Volume 3 as soon as you get the tape out fo your VCR. I would recommend buying Volume one too. That way you can get caught up. You will be impressed with funny dialouge, action packed excitement, and an interesting storyline. The video starts with the kids taking a long walk across a desert, then being attacked by a Digimon with an evild evice controling him(Black Gear). Next they find an old factory where they are attacked by an old robot with the same kind of device in him. After that, the kids are attacked by some sewer dwelling monsters then chased into a palce called toy town. A giant teddy bear has been taken control of by a Black Gear. I found these Digimon videos at Target for $9.99. Just figured I'd tell you that. Don't miss any of the Digimon tapes!

How can Anime go wrong when drawn by the creators of the 2 most famous animes? (Dragonball, and Z; Sailormoon) These episodes are Kabuterimon's Electroshocker (also known as the Andromon ep) the Togemon in Toy town ep (one of my very favorites) and I'm not sure, but the 3rd might be the Yokomon village one! That one was a must see for Sora lovers. And that's it! If you bought the first volume, you got the gold lined digimon cards that you can't find anywhere else. Who knows what (or if) the suprise is this time! In my very highly rated opinion (egoalert) this is a must buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Opinion, August 21, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Digimon (Vol. 2) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Well to say the truth I like Digimon. My friends all think I'm weird but that's okay. They don't like Pokemon and neither do I BUT don't yell at me just 'cuase I don't like Pokemon. I'm not saying it's bad but it just doesn't suit me. Digimon is more realistic not for the little monsters that run around saving the world but because of the characters. They show feelings that people in real life have. Like anger, sadness, friendship, deppression and things like that make it all the more realistic. I like Matt the best because he is the most realistic one. He tries to hard at the beggining to be cool and is a bit of a jerk but he softens and changes in the end. A lot of people are like that. Many are like some of the others too. The reason I like this show is because it's so much more realistic than Pokemon.

It is nice to have a place where you can still purchase VHS tapes. My son likes digimon and only uses VHS, so it is a win-win.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another good tape, May 15, 2011
This review is from: Digimon (Vol. 2) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
i enjoyed all of these episodes, my favorite was ''Biyomon gets firepower'' of course since Biyomon was my first favorite Digimon.

i think it's hard to compare this and pokemon, since they are alot different in their own rights(i pretty much have studied each quite extensively for online text based rpgs back when this was still aired and still keep up with pokemon but not so detailed of the newer digimon seasons).

i would highly recommend this video to any diehard digimon fan who has a VCR(even if they don't like the newer seasons much or at all). i only have good memories of this, other then the pang of disapointment when they changed the main characters the next two seasons of this and i lost interest in the show(i prefer to see my favorite characters in new stories over new characters following simular/same plotlines but that's a taste issue).

5.0 out of 5 stars Continuing the digimon saga, January 26, 2002

This video continues right where the first one left off, and now that they've set things up and given all of the starter information the characters get a chance to develop, and the plot really gets to take off and get interesting.
Digimon is a lot of fun for all ages. The series has got all of the qualities that make a cartoon a classic. The characters are easy to relate to, the animation is super cute, there is a moral in every episode and the series is jam-packed with adventure. This is one cartoon that parents can sit and enjoy with their kids.

3.0 out of 5 stars I have it, and it's okay, September 21, 2001
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Digimon (Vol. 2) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I'd say its okay. The ones wiht Kabuterimon and Togemon are kinda unusual. It's not all the time champions "beat" Ultimates. That's what confuses me. BUt I like the part in the Biyomon Digivolve one where Biyomon gets rolled down the hill with Meramon's fire ball. Not the rolling, but how Sora "rescued" Biyomon. In all these three episodes, I'd say "Kabuterimon's Electro Shocker" is the best. THe wierd thing is, I think about that is that Greymon and Garurumon together couldn't beat Andromon but Kabuterimon did with one single hit. It's true maybe some Digimon have advantages but this one? I'll have to think about that.
