Works perfectly, March 4, 2004
This review is from: Digipower 6 in 1 Media Card Reader/Writer CRW-6N1 - Card reader ( MS, Microdrive, MMC, SD, SM, CF ) - Hi-Speed USB (Electronics)
Did nothing but pull device out of package, plug into my USB Port (XP machine) and done. Literally a 5 second installation. Works perfectly. It shows up as four removable drives inside Explorer. I popped in the memory card from my digital camera, copied twenty-some pictures to my hard-drive and it was done nearly instantly. This device claims USB 2.0 while most similar are USB 1.x.....while I cannot verify the precise speed nor confirm 2.0 speed, this file transfer was extremely quick and certainly 100 times faster than my normal camera xfer via it's own USB cable. At this price, and USB 2.0.....cool.

Light, compact and easy to use and great price., June 21, 2004

This is my first experience on digital camera. All I had to do was plug the reader cable into my computer, insert the mobile mini SD memory card in and transer all the pictures. It also reads for my finance's SM cards. The price was just under $10.00. Can't beat that.

Watch Out!, September 7, 2004
This review is from: Digipower 6 in 1 Media Card Reader/Writer CRW-6N1 - Card reader ( MS, Microdrive, MMC, SD, SM, CF ) - Hi-Speed USB (Electronics)
I bought this reader approximately 5 months ago. I was extremely happy with it (transferring pics from my CF and files from a SD Card was a blaze), but about 5 weeks it started to failed. I thought my camera software was failing because I couldn't transfer any pic from my card to the computer. I upgraded it but still didn't managed to make it work. To make long story short, I went on vacation with my girlfriend, had a lot of nice pics and when I tried to transfer them... they were all gone. A complete pic folder was erased by the reader. Today I transferred my pics directly from my camera via the provided USB without problems, confirming the reader was the one giving trouble (maybe I should've tried this before =S). If you want to take the risk of losing all those Kodak moments, take the less than $9 road. Surely, I won't be so confident next time.
